Risk of Heavy Rain/Coastal Flooding 25th/26th April - Current Conditions
    « on: April 24, 2012, 18:25:39 »
With todays excitment over (for me anyway - one loud thunder clap  ), just thought I'd start thread on the potential weather 'event' particularly for the southern and eastern areas.

The incoming Atlantic system is just now making its presence felt along the south coast with high level cloud (and with rain showing up on radar offshore).  Models still indicating potential for sustained and potentially heavy rain for a 24 to 36 hour period.

In addition, the potentially heavy rain combined with high tides and strong to gale force east to north east winds could lead to a risk of coastal flooding along exposed coasts.

Another interesting weather period to watch.
