Lol. A combination of Wicklow/Blackstairs/Castlecomer Plateau doing a great job! A "storm" total of only 2.9mm so far!

(Thank God its not snow or I'd feel very left out. )

Thats not to say that we dont get hit here by easterlies either.  I can remember two very severe rainfall cases namely:

August '97 http://irelandsweather.com/forum/index.php/topic,155.msg2967.html#msg2967

August '86 Hurricane Charley.

Subtle flow direction it seems can have a big bearing. This time the flow is well north of east and has a pretty good landtrack for me.

A dry day apart from a mm overnight , it's brightened up well this evening but that strong Northerly wind feels very raw indeed , max of 10.6 c today .

From Met E forecast this morning (on radio at least) we could extend to the middle of next week!

Damp this morining with spots of light rain.  0.6mm since midnight.  Total of 4.8mm yesterday.

        5.8c atm.

Will lock this just for a day or two to get things moving on the CC thread again.

Will be reopened for stats then.
