About Irish Weather Network

The Irish Weather Network was founded in August of 2008 by Karl of Killucan Weather originally from Dublin now living in Co.Westmeath, Ireland. Membership is open to those with Personal Weather Stations in Ireland and Northern Ireland, and member sites can be viewed on the home page.

The purpose behind the Irish Weather Network is to produce a snapshot of current conditions of weather related information onto a map of Ireland. Data as you see it is in near real time. This will be of interest for the weather enthusiast, for agricultural means, aviation, sporting activities on land, sea and in the air. There is a forum where we can report our current conditions and produce statistics from weather events, upload weather pictures and many more. The forum is also where the novice can learn more about all things weather related and ask for help on choosing a weather station. We also forecast using NWP (Numerical Weather Prediction) charts and models on the forum. A forecast page where you can subscribe to has also being included so you can get the IWN forecast right to your inbox

The IWN is constantly in development with new features being added to the mesomap on the front page. Our aim is to try and reproduce as much information as possible to the public using an interactice map. Each station on the map has it's very own website which can be visited and user can acquire even more information from that particular area.

If you have a weather website using a personal weather station running Weather Display, VWS, or WeatherLink software in Ireland or Northern Ireland, and are publishing weather data to a personal weather website, you are invited to join our network. Membership is free, Contact Us to get started. We offer a member mesomap for your site.
